In a week, I'm setting sail on a cruise to Alaska with Hay House, in hopes of getting my current book project, Simple Meditation, published. At the end of that cruise, I'll have plenty of new photos and fascinating stories to tell.
The chapter of the book I'm currently working on is about doing a walkabout or vision quest. It's a wonderful way to escape your routine, connect with nature and meditate on the direction of your life. I recently posted a blog article on http://curtremington.com/wordpress/?p=18 doing just that and another on http://curtremington.com/wordpress/?p=19 on islands, beaches and visualization meditations.
To gather material for the chapter, I set out on a backpacking trip to Cascade Pass, followed a few weeks later by a boat trip out to the San Juan Islands. The Cascade Pass trip is covered in the link above, and I'll write about the island trip soon.
